Privacy Policy

What we collect
Account data: your email address, a hashed password, sign-in sessions, and the device you sign in from. Viewing data: what you play through the service and how long, used to apply plan limits and to show your history. Connections you add: your YouTube sign-in tokens, your Plex server address and token, and your Live TV playlist and guide addresses. These are stored encrypted and are used only to play your content; we never read them into logs. Subscription data: your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and status. We do not see or store your card details; Stripe does. Technical data: IP address, browser, and playback quality metrics, used for security, rate limiting and to keep playback working.
How we use it
To provide the service, apply plan limits, keep your account secure, send account emails (verification codes, password resets, and subscription notices), respond to support requests, and improve playback. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Stripe, Inc., which processes payments and manages subscriptions, under Stripe's privacy policy. Cloudflare, which hosts the service and our email sending, and whose Turnstile check (run invisibly when you create an account or enter an emailed code) is covered by the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum. Google (YouTube) and your own Plex server or Live TV provider receive the requests needed to play your content. We disclose data when the law requires it.
Cookies
We use a sign-in session cookie and a device cookie needed to run the service. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account exists. Viewing history is kept for 180 days. Account-linked playback metrics and security logs are kept for up to 90 days. De-identified service and title totals may be kept for up to 400 days. Subscription records are kept as long as needed for tax and accounting.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, or have your account and data deleted by emailing support@teswatch.com. Removing a connected service (YouTube, Plex, Live TV) deletes the credentials we hold for it. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
We will post changes here and, for material changes, email account holders.
